O4SR at OSU Invitational Mathematics Tournament
O4SR provided activities (puzzles & illusions) for the Oregon Invitational Mathematics Tournament held at Oregon State University May 14, 2011.
This annual tournament brought approximately 225 high school students from across the state to take part in a day of mathematics contests and activities. Also attending were about 100 parents and high school math teachers.
Our presence on the floor of the PWA-era gym was greeted by waves of students and the occasional calm before the tsunami, providing opportunities for casual discussion of deeper topics with interested students.
